Iran Broke the Deal. Trump Responded the Only Way America Should.

Three weeks ago Iran signed a ceasefire with the United States. They agreed to stop attacking ships. They agreed to nuclear talks. They shook hands on it.

Then they attacked three commercial tankers anyway.

So at the NATO summit in Ankara, Trump said what needed to be said. The ceasefire is over. No more patient diplomacy with a regime that agrees to something in private and lies about it in public. The US hit over 80 Iranian military targets overnight in response. Trump put it simply. Every time they hit us we hit them back twenty times. That is the only language this regime has ever respected.

Here is what the media is not telling you. Most people have heard of the Strait of Hormuz but do not know what it actually is. It is a narrow waterway barely 21 miles wide at its narrowest point and 20% of the entire world’s oil supply passes through it every single day. Iran knows this. Every tanker they hit is a direct shot at your gas prices, your grocery bill, and your heating costs this winter. This is not a foreign policy story. This is a your wallet story.

Here is what makes it worse. The ceasefire was the foundation for 60 days of nuclear talks. Iran’s nuclear program was the whole reason this war started in the first place. Now that Iran torched the ceasefire those talks are dead too. No deal. No talks. No constraints on their nukes. Connect those dots.

And remember, Iran’s Supreme Leader Khamenei was killed back in February when this war started. A regime in the middle of a leadership crisis, with an active nuclear program, and nothing left to lose is one of the most dangerous combinations on the planet. And they are still picking fights.

The media will spend the next 48 hours debating whether Trump’s tone was appropriate. Ignore all of it. He made the deal. Iran broke it. America responded. That is it.
